Krupa Playforth, MD is a Harvard-educated, board-certified pediatrician who is passionate about elevating the standard of pediatric care for the children of Northern VA.

Dr Playforth grew up in Malawi, which is often called the “Warm Heart of Africa”.
In naming her practice after this place that is so close to her heart, she hopes to infuse it with the same warmth, generosity and kindness for which the citizens of Malawi are known.

Dr Playforth has always had a special interest in writing and in parent/patient education.
In 2020, she founded The Pediatrician Mom, an online educational platform that provides balanced, evidence-based information for parents. She is regularly featured in the media, and has been seen on NBC, CNN, Today, Forbes, NYTimes, NewsNationNow, HuffPost, and more.
